After looking around, I stumbled on this documentary that I first watched a couple of years ago. It is the story of Terry Fox, an incredibly brave young man that attempted to run across Canada despite battling cancer and having his leg amputated. The story, the documentary and Terry, himself, are incredible and it really inspired me. So, I thought I would share it...
On June 27th I will attempt to play 10 rounds of golf to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Carrying my clubs and walking each hole, I will complete 180 holes, walk 52 miles and climb almost 5000 feet, in order to achieve 10 rounds in 1 day. Into The Wind
Spent a lot of time recently looking at, and reading about, inspiring stories from sports. I have an obvious connection due to my passion for sports and I want to keep motivated and working hard to make this challenge as successful as possible.

Creative Donating
Just received this proposal from a good golfing friend of mine:
- £5 for every round under 80
- £1 for every birdie
- £3 for every eagle
- £25 for every albatross
- £50 for every hole in one
Really like the idea. I will include it in my running total as an estimate, but I am happy to collect donations after the event also. With this formula, I just need 10 course records and the Make A Wish Foundation will be cashing in!
As always, keep the donations and the support going: www.justgiving.com/OneDayTenRounds

£200 Donation!
Great start to the day getting an email saying someone kindly donated £200. Only 4% of the way to the target, but it is really encouraging to feel the support of people.
Starting walking to and from work each day (little over 4 miles). The walk to work is uphill the whole way and into a strong wind. Hopefully this is preparing me somewhat for June 27th. I have been weighting my backpack to match the weight of my golf bag to try and get used to carrying that weight while I am walking.
Also putting the plans in motion for a fundraising dinner sometime in May. Think it would be good to gather everyone that is supporting the challenge and thank them personally and host a night to tell them more about the Make A Wish Foundation and have a little fun at the same time. Stay tuned for more updates.
As always, thanks to everyone for the support and please keep encouraging people to donate. www.justgiving.com/onedaytenrounds
